Custom Trainings using Bertie Kingore's Recognizing Gifted Potential: Planned Experiences and the KOI
The following trainings/workshops were developed for Hillsboro School District in Oregon, to help identify gifted potential in first grade students. The project took place over three years, with one school participating the first year, nine schools the second year, and all elementary schools the third year.
First grade teacher teams, and school-specific Gifted Coordinators, from 26 schools attended 4 days of trainings and scoring sessions as part of this process.
Some of these are organic lists, in various stages of development. I believe it is important to share whatever information I have, even if it seems insignificant for online publication, someone find find a little spark that has a big impact.
